Pre-Bookable Appointments – Option 2

Having taken onboard feedback for pre-bookable appointments, we have now introduced “option 2” to our main menu.

If you require a pre-bookable non-urgent appointment (more than two working days and less than 14 working days) in advance then rather than wait on the phone to speak to a Patient Service Advisor, you can press option 2 to leave a Patchs Telephone Assistant message.

It asks the same questions as you would be asked if you were to complete a Patchs online request. This will allow non-digital patients the opportunity to book pre-bookable appointments.

If you require a same day appointment then please continue to press option 3.

Patchs Telephone Assistant messages will be triaged by our staff and they will call you back to arrange an appointment or to direct you to the most appropriate service to help. We will aim to get back to you within 24 hours, excluding bank holidays and weekends, but often it will be within a couple of hours.

The number of pre-bookable appointments will vary week to week depending on the available clinicians that week.  If you wish for a specific time and or day then please include this in your message, and whilst we cannot guarantee this, we will try our best to accommodate.

When using the system, we ask that you speak slowly and clearly, so the system can easily understand you and don’t hang up early. Do not end the telephone call until you have been told that your message has been successfully passed to your GP practice. If your call ends before you hear this information, the practice will not receive your message and you will need to start the process again.

If you have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact us.
