How to Request a Home Visit
Home visits are for patients too ill to come to the surgery. If you require a visit please telephone the surgery, where possible between 8.30am and 11.15am as this helps the Doctors plan their rounds.
If the problem is so urgent that it cannot wait until lunchtime, telephone the surgery to speak to the Duty Doctor.
Please remember home visits are time consuming. A doctor can see four patients in a surgery in the time it takes to visit a patient at home. If you are worried that you may be contagious, please inform Reception on arrival so that you can be seated in a side room.
A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance
