The Village Practice, Thornton At The Village Practice in Thornton the doctors and nurses take pride in offering the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare. We run many clinics for chronic disease care and offer a wide variety of other medical services such as antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.

The Village Practice serves the whole of Thornton as well as areas within Cleveleys, Carleton, Anchorsholme & Poulton-le-Fylde. Our team consists of five GPs, four Practice Nurses, a Health Care Assistant, District Nurses, and Health Visitors as well as our Practice Manager, Administration and Reception staff. We offer a fuII general practice service.

MOBILE PHONE NUMBERS

It is becoming more and more important that the practice maintains an accurate record of mobile phone numbers for patients. New technology is reliant upon us having this information and will enable us to reduce the number of letters that we send out to patients.

We now have a system whereby we can send automated reminders by text to patients about pre-booked appointments. We are hopeful that this will reduce the number of patients who fail to attend their appointments and also reduce the manual administrative work that we carry out significantly.
